Kolapo Daniyan is a project development consultant who graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University in 1986 and 1988 with a B.Sc and an M.Sc in Architecture respectively.
He thereafter worked with Tropical Threshold Ltd, a firm of architects and real estate brokers for seven years after which he founded Plannet Ltd, an architectural firm.
In 2008, he obtained an M.Sc in Property Investment from the University of Reading, UK, where his thesis on Nigerian Pension funds' exposures to real estate vehicles earned him a distinction award. Prior to this, he was awarded the Norseman Holdings Prize for the most outstanding level 2 student in the RICS PGD in Property Investment Programme of the then College of Estate Management (now University College of Estate Management), Reading, UK.
He has advised on several development projects across the Ikoyi, Lekki, Victoria Island and Ajah environs in Lagos. He also facilitates the Construction Finance module for the Lagos State chapterofthe Nigerian Institute of Architects and the Building Defects module for the Certified Institute of Auctioneers of Nigeria. He also facilitates modules on Feasibility and Viability Analysis for the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (Lagos State Chapter and National). His interests lie in development finance modelling, housing and mortgage structures.
He is an advocate for real estate assets being analysed from a capital market perspective.
